Guess who bought a new digital camera!!!

Clara & Daddy!!! and before they bought it Daddy handed it to the girl working at Walmart and said - "Here, test this thing out and take a picture of us" ;) Aren't they cute?? Just what they needed to seal the deal... that and the camera was on sale ;) and Dad's old camera was a piece of crap. (I have to admit I was the one that bought it for him a few Christmas' ago... shame on me for not testing it out - but hey it was a 35 mm film type - back then there was no testing it out.

Although they know NOTHING about how to email photos to us, I did figure out something cool. When we were home visiting for Easter, I was able to remove the SD Card and download all of their photos to my laptop - COOL! b/c as you know my latest "new" camera is broken...(I think the 13th drop is what did it) and so I can click away using their camera and then download and delete off what's mine.

Also, in return I can upload and save photos of the kids that I have saved onto my computer and put them on her memory card - so all she has to do is take it to CVS and print them off ;) Cool eah?

Ggoodbye Day

Today is Tuesday - which means back to school for Nora, back to work for David... and saying Bye-Bye to Mamaw & Papaw as they leave out just shortly after David and Nora.

We've had a great visit with them!!! And already looking forward to the next time we get to see them! Perhaps Easter???

And I'm gonna miss them too!! After David and Nora left there was no one to take our photo together so I paired up with each of them for an arm shot ;) Not bad ea?

They're leaving our house and headed to Daddy's sisters home in Gulfport, MS. Aunt Lucille will be happy to see them I know, b/c Daddy and Clara haven't been to see her in a few years.

And here are the kids shortly after we got home from picking up Nora from school. Yes Paul Thomas is wearing PJs... he HAS to change into them for nap time everyday, and today I had to wake them up to go pick up Nora so that's why he's seen sporting them. LOL :P at least today they are not pink! hahaha

I think Olivia is missing Papaw and Mamaw already, don't you?

Olivia Drawing Papaw's Portrait

I'm not sure exactly what day these were taken while we were in KY over Christmas... but it had to have been after Christmas b/c Olivia is playing with a little wipe off board that Ma-maw gave to her.

Paul Thomas got one too - but didn't want to get buckled in his seat to use it.. so he just had to watch. While Ma-maw cooked breakfast Olivia kept everyone entertained.

I wonder what she's thinking as she moves the pen across the board... I think she has a plan of some sort because she was talking to herself the whole time. Oh here is a clue - here she stars with the eyes...

and a dot for a nose and a line for a smile..

Can you see the face... It looks just like Papaw don't ya think? ;) She actually did it all on her own with out being coached - I wasn't even payin attention and it was my dad who realized that she had made a face! :) Now that I have gone back thru all the photos that I took - it is apparent that she was making a face the whole time! WOW pretty creative for a 2 year old. :)

Ta-Da! Olivia's first portrait was of her Papaw! ;)

Mail Call - Momma, there's a box at the door

I already knew there was a box on it's way form Kentucky... and had hoped for it to arrive by Saturday.. but it didn't arrive until Monday night just as we were pulling the pizza out of the oven. Which although we missed out on "the coupon" it actually turned out to be perfect timing! :)

When the UPS man rang the door bell, David and the kids went running to go get the door and that was a great distraction so I could open the oven and pull the pizza out without having to worry about the little ones getting too close.

Talk about motivation to eat supper... Nora was so anxious to find out what was inside. We told her it was from Mamaw and Papaw, something for her and the babies... but we can't open it until we're done eating. I don't think I've seen her chow down so fast!

As David was cutting around all the tape I called Dad and Clara on the phone so we could talk to them as we opened it up. We had a good little visit :) and although they couldn't see our faces "live as it was happening" - now thru the computer they can :) .....and Dad, now that you can finally see this photo below is just for you- this is what Olivia does when we point the phone at her when you talk to her - she gets SO EXCITED!!! however she gets pretty frustrated too, b/c we won't let her hold the "buttons"

I love blogging! and I love even more that our parents are now connected!!

Oh, and I will leave you with one last pic that I snapped real quick after the kids got out of the bath tonight. :) Two out of three have robes... but don't feel sorry for Olivia for not having one... she wouldn't keep it on and I'm pretty sure you could bet that no matter how tight you tied the belt she'd be able to strip it off in less than 7 seconds! :P

The Highlight of our week

Guess who called a week ago today - last Monday and told us that they were on their way to come see us!?!?!?!!!!! PaPaw and MaMaw! (Bonnie's Dad Ollie, and Step Mom Clara.)

What a pleasant surprise! They left their home in Kentucky around 2am their time and called us from Jackson Mississippi around 9am our time and were here shortly after 1:30pm!

Although they sure didn't stay long...(4 days) I am so glad they came!! They got to see the twins at their "prime time" age. Oh how fun Olivia and the new walking Paul Thomas are right now!! So entertaining! So fun to watch as they explore their world! While Daddy was here he taught Olivia how to "pull her toothie" and they had lots of fun with that game... so much that Daddy forgot and did it with Paul Thomas the night we said our good byes before bedtime and made Paul Thomas just bawl and bawl. (((See how opposite they are)))Clara taught Olivia how to blow kisses... and what did Paul Thomas learn this week...? he just practiced walking the whole time! :c) Now that he knows he can walk he goes and goes and goes just like that bunny that use to be on TV.
The highlight of our week??? was the thing Nora was looking out the window at - up at the top of this post... her new SWING SET! An early Birthday gift! Why wait until June when the weather is so nice tight now...? and of course since Nora is not the only June Birthday (6/23rd), the twins will be 1 year old June 4th so PaPaw and MaMaw brought early Birthday gifts for Olivia and Paul Thomas too!

Naturally Paul Thomas immediately loved his new swing! He was laughing before I could get him buckled and give him his official first big push! :c)
and naturally Olivia did not like hers too much. Before her bottom was in she was already grabbing on whining and trying her best to climb out!
but I quickly gave her something to hold and distract her...
and it worked! My new cell phone is her favorite thing in the whole wide world to hold on to!

She forgot all about being in the swing! ;P Meanwhile, little brother figured out that he could take over the other two big kid swings.... "Arrrrgh" he said! So then I came up with a solution to that problem, which meant that Papaw had to do some "minor" rearranging of the swings. :)

Sorry Daddy for the extra work! and although the next pic he looks like he has a frown on his face he really wasn't upset - he actually didn't know I was taking the photo at the time..

Nora's happy with the new arrangement too - now her swing and an extra for a friend are side by side. :) and speaking of friends - she made a new one recently! (but we'll save all that for another post another time.)aaahhhh - swinging! :)

Love from Texas! ~bonnie
