Sorry for not updating sooner. Over Christmas we - or rather, "I" misplaced (not lost) the battery charger for the digital camera and we have not been able to use it for a month now. Just this week we got to download the photos we took by using a borrowed card reader. I will work hard over the next few days to update Nora's page with new photos! Don't know when we will get to take any more photos as our camera and all of it's replacement parts are discontinued. It's 4 years old.... perhaps we will buy a new camera for our 8th anniversary?
So much is happening with Nora, it's hard to know where to start so I will just start with most recent and when I think of the other I will come back and post with a backdate... Today she had her fist official "FIT"!!!
Nora and I were at daily mass. She was playing with my sunglasses during the homily and gagged herself so when I tried to help her out by taking them out of her hands she screamed - so upset with me. I gave them back to her as my first reaction to get her to stop with her fit...it worked..but she gagged herself again so I took them away. She threw her weight back with all her might and screamed. I quickly gathered up my jacket and her blanket and headed for the cry room. She cried the whole way. Since we have been attending daily mass, this was our first time to go to the cry room.

Nora has been eating a variety of baby foods and is now on the Stage 2 foods which has a much larger of variety. So far we have yet to find any fruit that she likes. She has turned down Applesauce, bannas, peaches, and apricots! Doesn't like any of them. I have even tried mixing the fruit with her cereal and that doesn't work.
Good thing is - that she loves vegetables! Except peas that is - which is so unlike her mother. Nora's favorites are Butternut Squash, Sweet Potatoes, Spinish, Green Beans and Carrots.

On Friday, January 21st the youth traveled by bus with several members of the CSRA Catholic Pro-Life Council. We got an early start as the 45 of us loaded the bus and left the church parking lot around 7 a.m. It was an eventful day. “Together For Life 2005" was the day’s theme sponsored by the Georgia Right to Life.
On the drive up, we together prayed a pro-life rosary on the bus before arriving at the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception to celebrate Mass for the unborn with the new Archbishop, Most Reverend, Wilton Gregory. Who before walking in during the opening hymn, reached over and gave Nora a BLESSING! :)
From the Shrine, we walked up to the state capitol where we joined thousands of other pro-life supporters. Following praise and worship songs from the steps of the capital, we heard from many legislators, religious leaders, and other concerned citizens. We also heard about new legislation that is in the Georgia Congress.
Former Governor Zell Miller was scheduled to speak but was unable to be there because of obligations to president George W. Bush. Before the 1-mile silent memorial walk through downtown Atlanta, Father Regan joined up with us and gave our youth group a special blessing.
We then marched with many other pro-life supporters through the streets of downtown Atlanta. Many of the youth carried large crosses, provided by the CSRA Catholic Pro-Life Council, to show their support. It was a great day and our youth made a great statement about being pro-life.
I am so greatful that David and I are active in teh pro-life movement. :)

New things! Yesterday we put Nora in her walker for the first time. I shot some video of it and also took a picture of her in it this morning. Be sure to check out the folder titled Dec 2004 to get a look.
Also Nora has discovered that she can play hide-n-seek by rolling until she is underneath the dresser! Pictures are also in the Dec folder.

This morning Nora got to meet Santa for the first time. We went to our December MOPS meeting today and Santa was there to take photos with the children. She wasn't scared at all to meet him. She even spent some time gabbing with him...
I believe she was telling him that he wouldn't have to bring her "Her two front teeth" because she has them already. ;)

Nora’s 1st Cold. Today we took Nora to the doctor. She was up all night last night – very congested and couldn’t not breath when lying down so Bonnie held her most of the night and neither of them got any sleep from 11pm until 5:30am.
Dr. Nesbit looked at her ears and thankfully there is no infection. He asked how our Thanksgiving was and we told him about our surprise trip to Kentucky and then he diagnosed Nora with catching a Kentucky germ jokingly. :)
He told us to treat her with nasal drops and to bring her back if she starts having any fever or diareah. We hope that she gets to feeling better and is able to get some sleep & rest tonight!
Oh, one more thing. They weighed her too and she is 17lbs which means that she is in the 82nd percentile for weight.

Saturday we took Nora to Sears to get her Christmas portraits made in her Christmas Dress. Of course when I bought her Christmas dress (two months ago) I was thinking ahead and since she will be 6 months old in December I bought her dress in 6-9 months and also cute little back paten leather shoes to match in size 3 that are for 6-9 months.
Well…. I had not thought of everything – such as – she would only be 4 months old when the Christmas pictures would be taken! Nora’s dress looked fine although the diaper cover looked more like pants on her and keep falling off so we just took them off. However what was so funny was her shoes! They were so big and would not stay on her! She kept kicking them off faster than we could blink!
However it didn't matter much because the photos we bought were pose 3 - a close up, and pose 5, which was taken really fast. You can view them - I have added them to the photo album section of the webpage. Sorry the pictures show up so dark, it is because they were copied off the sears preview page. The real ones will be much clearer.

Trick-or-Treat!!! :) Nora spent her 1st Halloween in Savnnah with her friends Tyler and Tanner also known as Spiderman and Batman.
David and Jay took the kids out first while Tricia and I stayed at home to hand out candy. After they made their round we did a switch off and Tricia and I took the kids out agian.
Nora received 3 treats. A box of rasins, a pack on M&M's and a Rice Krispy Treat! :)
Next year us girls will play it smart and go out with the kids first. We had to learn by experience that the kids' treat bags would become too full and too heavy to carry and then also the boys woluld beg to be carried too!
Hey I thought Superheros were suppose to be able to pick us up! :)

Nora's 1st Playdate! Last month I joined a group called MOPS – Mothers of Preschools. Yesterday, Jenna, my small group leader had us over to her home for a Pumpkin Painting Day with our children. Of course Nora didn’t do any painting but it was fun to go and be around all the other moms and children. I am uploading photos and they can be found in the photo album section. Also I am including a couple of photos David and I took of Nora by her pumpkin before it was painted.

"All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth" BIG NEWS!!! Nora is cutting her 1st tooth!
Who would have thought that I would have so many announcements this week, but I had to come post this right away!
Today as I was burpin Nora and she grabbed my finger and pulled it into her mouth. She loves to do that now. I was massaging her gums and felt something. I got her under the light real good and opened her up and there it is her bottom right tooth peaking thru the gum! It has just started to come thru. Keep checking back we will keep you posted :-) -Bonnie

Nora has an announcement to make!!!
For the very 1st time ever, she slept in her own bedroom last night!
I put her down around 7:00pm after her bath time and she didn't make a peep until 4:30am. I heard her on the monitor and went flying across to the other end of the house to her room.
I resisted picking her up as everyone has warned me. Instead I softly spoke to her and rubbed her back until she went back to sleep. I then set there in the glider in her room for another 15 minutes just in case to see if she was going to stay asleep or wake back up.
She slept until 6:30am! I am so proud of her! She slept in her big bed for the 1st time!

Our home has been blessed! Tonight Father Martino (the priest who baptized Nora) came to eat dinner with us. I made my all-famous “Cheeseburger Twist" recipe for him. He had 2nds and even 3rds. I knew it would be a big hit however, I don’t think he cared too much for my side dishes.
After dinner, he conducted a blessing ceremony where he went around to every room of our home and blessed each room with holy water. He spent extra time blessing Nora’s room and giving up prayers of thanksgiving for her life. It was a very special moment.
Then he said special prayers over all of our Holy objects such as all of our Bibles, Rosaries, Crucifixes and even our statues of Saint Mary and Saint Frances that are outside our front door. It was a very special night, one that will always be remembered.
David and I love our beautiful home that the Lord has given to us. It is more than we ever dreamed we would have. God has blessed us so generously over the years and we are so grateful for His gifts. If we ever do move again, next time we will not wait so long before having our priest over to bless it!

New Discovery!! Nora discovered both of her little hands this morning.
About a week ago she "noticed them" for a quick moment but today she really go aquatinted with her new play toys. She lay there and looked at them and opened up her little fingers and looked at each one. (Almost as if she was counting her fingers.)
She would look up at me as if to say, "Do you see this?" and then look back at her hands with a surprise expression on her face like "Wow, they are still there!" She was so fascinated and spent 20 minutes getting to know her new play toys! She talked to them and smiled at them. It was too cute!
It is hard to believe that she went that long looking at them with out putting them in her mouth! Until now she has constantly had her little fingers in her mouth pulling on her gums. Sometimes both hands and it looks like she is trying to whistle. I will have to get a picture of that sometime.

New Pictures!! I did get the new baptism photos up on line and also prictures of Nora's visit to Monsanto. However, they are not appearing as the latest added photo albums. Instead they are randomly put among the others. I have contacted the webmaster of Aboutmybaby.com to - hopefully they can help me fix this. Just wanted to post a message here so you will know they are there but you will have to really look as they are mixed in.

Things are getting back to normal. Recently I spent a week working part time to train my replacement. Miss Annette and Miss Ginny took turns keeping Nora for me while I went into work every afternoon.
Nora did great and although for me it was hard at first, I did pretty well too. It was fun to go back to work but I missed my baby girl!
Getting back into my daily routines, this week I have been playing catch up. Laundry, grocery shopping, and more laundry! I promise by the end of this week I will have the photos from Nora's Baptism up on the page!

Nora rolled over!!! This morning while I was folding towels on my bed, Nora was lying on her stomach doing some "tummy time.
I was talking with Nora and telling her about how I will be going into work a few days to help train the new person taking over my job. I told her that Miss Ginny and Miss Annette would be taking turns keeping her and how nice they were. She was very excited and in a great mood.
So I told Nora that if she was going to roll over for the first time it could not be for anyone else but Mommy. I kept talking to her and she was cooing and laughing and in the best mood and then after about 3 minutes .. she ROLLED OVER!
Of course I was so excited and immediately called David but only got his voice mail message... I left a message but I still wanted to tell someone. I couldn't call my daddy because I knew he was on the road driving from NC to KY.......so I tried Kathy, David's mom, but the receptionist said that she was in a staff meeting, so I called and told Me Maw Reliford! :) and told her all about it! .... and then of course came here to post the BIG NEWS! :)

This morning Nora REALLY laughed out loud! Over and over she laughed! She woke up feeling GOOD!
Last night after David came home from work he played with her and after about an hour she fell asleep on his shoulder and didn't wake up again. A few times he tried to put her down and she would whimper so he held her until time for dinner... then we just put her to bed thinking she would wake up around 10-11 but she didn't.
She slept the whole night! From 5:30pm until 4:45am!!
David got up changed her diaper and handed her off to me to feed her before getting ready for work, I fed her and then put her back down and was surprised to hear her giggling away in her cradle around 9:30am this morning! I can't believe she sleeps that long! I have heard that when babies go thru growth spurts, they sleep more.

ok, I think I have all the photos up now. I am sorry I didn't get them up sooner. The last two days I have been catching up on all the laundry form our tip. I wish I had taken more pictures of Nora and the family. She met so many people during her visit and I didn't get pictures of everyone. :(
Nora got to meet her Memaw Reliford; Aunt Melanie, Malorie & Lance; Uncle Mark & Courtney; Uncle Greg, Aunt Beverly and Austin.
While visiting Grandma Minor's home, she got to meet Aunt Connie; Aunt Maxine; Uncle Kenneth & Aunt Della Ann and cousin Andrew. She also got to meet Shea, Collin, & Chad and also her cousin Todd.
While Nora & I were staying at Daddy's home, several people stopped by to meet and see Nora. Her Godmother Gayle, Mildred & Ricky; Aunt Nell, Katie, Grayson, & Keena; Clara; and Donnie.
When we come home next time for Christmas - I will do better and get everyone's picture holding Nora.... so don't say you weren't forewarned :)
