Wordless Wednesday

OK, this is gonna be a Wordless Wednesday post with a FEW words - OK, maybe a lot! :c) those of you who "know me" know that I can not make a long story short... but I promise to do my best to keep this not so wordy. Here goes!

First, let me start off with an apology to our readers - that Kaleidoscope photo thing in the previous post looked neat at first - when I did it - but you won't hurt my feelings if you tell me that you couldn't stand looking at it!!!!
It was giving me a headache too every time I came to this page. I've been meaning to make a post to push it down the page... but all weekend we were on the go that I didn't get around to it. Sorry you had to look at it at the top of the page all last week.
So since here it is already Wednesday again - and time for "Wordless Wednesday" I'll share some photos taken over the Memorial Day weekend - starting with photos we took at the Birthday Party we went to on Saturday at the SPRAY PARK! Happy 4h Birthday Aidan!
That's Nora's Best friend Jed beside her at the "Prime Cheese Puffs Location" - Aidan, the Birthday boy, is the one behind Jed in the white Tshirt. And the mom in the Pink - is Jed's mom Heidi (aka Bonnie's bestest friend & also Nora's preschool teacher)

Nora, Olivia and Paul Thomas (especially PT) enjoyed having Daddy there with them to play in the water with and honestly, I was sooooo kickin back letting David "do it all" - load and unload the kids and van... since I have to do it everyday through the week. It was grrreat! :c)
We didn't go anywhere (out of town) or do anything special... just the same ole same old but all the FUN just the same! :c)
After the party - we went to McDonald's. Here's Nora showing off her last two chickens. "See Mom, I only have two left!"

Can't you tell that the babies are whipped out! Being out in the sun will do that to ya... and hopefully help mister I can't sleep through a whole night - WILL have a chance of sleeping better TONIGHT! .....I can hope can't I??? LOL :c)

And in this last pic Olivia's reaching out and trying to pull my toothie...... a trick that PaPaw (my Dad) taught her not too long ago. ;)

Hope that you enjoyed the pics! and don't forget to leave us a comment so we will know you stopped by our blog!

The Highlight of our week

Guess who called a week ago today - last Monday and told us that they were on their way to come see us!?!?!?!!!!! PaPaw and MaMaw! (Bonnie's Dad Ollie, and Step Mom Clara.)

What a pleasant surprise! They left their home in Kentucky around 2am their time and called us from Jackson Mississippi around 9am our time and were here shortly after 1:30pm!

Although they sure didn't stay long...(4 days) I am so glad they came!! They got to see the twins at their "prime time" age. Oh how fun Olivia and the new walking Paul Thomas are right now!! So entertaining! So fun to watch as they explore their world! While Daddy was here he taught Olivia how to "pull her toothie" and they had lots of fun with that game... so much that Daddy forgot and did it with Paul Thomas the night we said our good byes before bedtime and made Paul Thomas just bawl and bawl. (((See how opposite they are)))Clara taught Olivia how to blow kisses... and what did Paul Thomas learn this week...? he just practiced walking the whole time! :c) Now that he knows he can walk he goes and goes and goes just like that bunny that use to be on TV.
The highlight of our week??? was the thing Nora was looking out the window at - up at the top of this post... her new SWING SET! An early Birthday gift! Why wait until June when the weather is so nice tight now...? and of course since Nora is not the only June Birthday (6/23rd), the twins will be 1 year old June 4th so PaPaw and MaMaw brought early Birthday gifts for Olivia and Paul Thomas too!

Naturally Paul Thomas immediately loved his new swing! He was laughing before I could get him buckled and give him his official first big push! :c)
and naturally Olivia did not like hers too much. Before her bottom was in she was already grabbing on whining and trying her best to climb out!
but I quickly gave her something to hold and distract her...
and it worked! My new cell phone is her favorite thing in the whole wide world to hold on to!

She forgot all about being in the swing! ;P Meanwhile, little brother figured out that he could take over the other two big kid swings.... "Arrrrgh" he said! So then I came up with a solution to that problem, which meant that Papaw had to do some "minor" rearranging of the swings. :)

Sorry Daddy for the extra work! and although the next pic he looks like he has a frown on his face he really wasn't upset - he actually didn't know I was taking the photo at the time..

Nora's happy with the new arrangement too - now her swing and an extra for a friend are side by side. :) and speaking of friends - she made a new one recently! (but we'll save all that for another post another time.)aaahhhh - swinging! :)

Friday Fun on the FARM!

Last Friday (5/8/08) Nora's preschool class was invited to come out to the Evans' Family Farm. Both Tanner, 5 and Loralee, 4 are in Nora's class. (...oh and BTW, by the way, Nora is convinced her name is NORAlee and she is Nora Anne:P)
Aren't they cute together with their chocolate chip smiles. :c) Loralee is a year older than Nora but they are the same size.

Here's Nora all decked out in her "farm clothes and cowboy boots" ready to go... and with her matching purse with her princess doll figurines! Thanks char77 for the tote bag!! (this is one of two that she made for Nora and gave me as a hostess gift for this year's bingo!)
As soon as we arrived, Tanner welcomed us to his farm and proudly showed us the newest baby rabbit. Here is Nora begging to hold it.

We decided she'd be safer petting it.. or rather the bunny would be safer!

and look at this big smile! Nora loved riding on the horse... whom I think name is Toby? It was fun to watch her today riding and having a great time. She is acting so big lately and independent.

The primary reason for our play date at the Evans' Farm was b/c in preschool they are doing a unit on horses next week and all the kids got to ride the horses as much as they wanted..... but the Evan's have much more than just horses on their farm!!!

They have chickens, goats, rabbits, pigs, turtles, frogs, birds, and last week they did have their own Texas road rat!!! But he escaped during the night thankfully! I do not care to ever see an armadillo up close! I was scared out of my skin when Tanner held up a lizard about 2 inches from my right ear!

OK, back to Nora... while, she did LOVE riding the horse....and this would have normally been her

"favorite thing of the day"........ there was another fun adventure she got to do during her visit to the farm.

Nora rode the zipline!!! or as she says, "THE ZIPPER!" ;c)

Yep, she sure did! And there was no asking her if she wanted to or begging her to try it - she just went along with what all the other kids were taking turns doing! As she was gearing up to take her turn is when Michael yelled from the tree house, "NORA is NEXT" and I quickly found my camera and jumped up out of my lawn chair to go take a photo!

I was so proud of her and honestly shocked that she did it! I'm not sure exactly how high up in the air the line is but I am guessing at least 20 feet at the beginning in their two story tree house and then it slopes downward as the line ends at the landing on the other side of the yard.

and there is a rope tied to the belt that you wear so that someone below can pull you back up to the tree house and you can take another ride. This is the teacher "Miss Heidi" pulling Nora back up to the tree house. Heidi is also my best friend in Texas!

in this pic you can sort of see the two story tree house behind the trees. and once on the 2nd story you have to climb up and sit on top of an 8 foot ladder before you go... talk about being brave!

and here is Miss Heidi unhooking Nora after her rerun on the Zipper! :)

and what did Olivia think of Big sister's adventure? Fun!

and last but not least...here is a photo of me and the babies to share with all of you - lookie at me, wow, I do still remember how to apply makeup after all! :) LOL I know several of my girlfriends have been wondering lately if they'd ever see me in mascara again! ....and I'm pretty sure they have given up on seeing my hair fixed in anything other than a pony tail... at least while Paul Thomas is still at the holding stage. Maybe one of these days I will surprise them and do pigtails! LOL :P ... naaa.. that would defeat the whole purpose...he'd have double the chances of grabbing hold and taking a big ole yank!

Thanks Bev and Michael for having us out to visit your family farm! We had a great time!!

Oh, and guess who was standing in the middle of an fire ant pile while taking the Evan's photo!$^&! Me! Thankfully only a few of the 19 bites immediately blistered up. However all of the bites have been itching like crazy since the day of the farm trip! I took this while STOPPED at a red light and not driving ;)
oh, it it appears that my vehicle inspection is past due... shhhuh don't tell the police on me OK? ;)
