Well not quite... although it was our 1st time to drive the new truck as a family... and it was Sunday...and we did some drivin.....
The story starts off with the fact that - We slept in!!! I actually didn't wake up until 9:45am and Mass starts at 10:30! Of course we knew better, but we rushed and got up to eot ready like a bunch of chickens with our heads cut off...
and although I think we did a pretty darn tootin job of getting ready in a hurry, fact was that we were still gonna walk in the door LATE... as in after the 2nd reading late... so just as we were about to turn onto the road of the church we decided to go back home.
The van needed an oil change *BEFORE* we left for KY, so why not take two vehicles over to Beaumont and take it in for servicing and leave it while we go to the Mass at the Cathedral that begins at Noon? ;) A win, WIN! :) and so that is what we did. We drove back home to go get David's truck...
and I thought it'd be a better idea to transfer the kids' seats over to the truck's backseat now rather than after we get over there.. and what if one or more are asleep...
Well that idea was great until we did it - David simply unbelted the car seats and carried kid and all over to the turck as you have already noticed in the photos... and let's just say - Paul Thomas and Olivia HATED that idea! :P
Thankfully I found some suckers to give them by the time I arrived on the scene... :) isn't that what momma's do? Make their babies happy again? Too bad David had to listen to them cry all the way over and didn't even get to hear his new XM Radio! After Mass and after the van was ready for pick up, we swung by Firestone and this time David moved back over the seats with OUT the children in them.... and I drove the van and kids back home while David enjoyed some alone time in his new turck and got to test out his new XM Radio all the way back home! ;)
Hope you had a great weekend!
